Oda Nobuna no Yabou

The Ambition of Oda Nobuna

The Sengoku period never looked so beautiful!

f you are well versed on this historical period, then you pretty much know where her ambitions are headed. If not, like in my case, then don’t worry because we have a modern day surrogate in place to teach us. And by modern day I literally mean that a present-day guy appeared in this era. No mention on how he got there but he doesn’t seem to care because he is enjoying the experience. “It’s like playing out one of those role playing games!” But instead of being an all-out cutesy show there is some good action, drama and romance. That genuinely surprised me for I had generic expectations on what this show will turn out to be like. But that doesn’t mean it’s free of moe moments and underage combatants. Character design is beautiful; something about how those eyes look, unique yet powerful. The animation could use some work though; the battles don’t play out like how the OP depicts it. I’m hoping for a nice balance of action and romance to conclude this show. Recommended.
